In the small graveyard of Dunnamaggan there are the ruins of an ancient church. North of this church, two metres from its north wall, there's an ancient and rather plain cross. Its head has four square perforations, like the cross in the Noughaval church graveyard.
The cross is 1.70 metres tall, 42 centimetres wide and 20 centimetres thick. The head has a diameter of 85 centimetres. The arms of the cross aren't visible anymore.
The shaft has human figures carved on all the four sides.
On the west face of the shaft there's the figure of a bishop or a saint with a stick in his left hand, while his right hand is raised.
On the east face of the shaft there's the carving of a woman.
The other two sides carvings aren't readable.
On the north wall of the ruined church there's a doorway, and above it you can see a human head carved on a stone protruding from the wall.
