The bank of the ring fort seen from the west.

This monument is within the Carrowmore complex, but it has no relation with the other tombs. It's a ring fort built between the 6th and 10th century as a homestead for farmers. What remains is an earthen circular bank on a gentle slope.

The ring fort is outside the area of the main group of tombs near the visitors' centre and is in a private field very far from the road.
