The nice round headed doorway in the south wall.

In the small village of Killarga, behind the current Catholic church of St. Brigid, there are ruins of a very old church with surrounding graveyard. Not much of the church survives. The east and west gables have gone, the north wall is completely overgrown, the south wall is still visible and has a wonderful round headed doorway.
The church fell in disuse in 1791. It was seat of the erenaghs for the Diocese of Kilmore until 1416.
A number of nice headstones are visible in the graveyard.
