The south wall of the very ruined church dedicated to St. Mathias, with the small lintelled doorway and the tiny recess to the far left. Seen from the north.

Inishnee is a small island in the Roundstone Bay accessible by bridge.
On this island there's an old graveyard with the ruins of a medieval church dedicated to St. Mathias. All that remains of this church is the south wall with a small lintelled doorway. East of the doorway there's a tiny recess in the wall used to store the vessels during the Mass.

What took us here is the nice medieval cross pillar at the east end of the old graveyard. The place is very overgrown, the old burials are well hidden in brambles and ferns. Walking among the gravestones can be dangerous because it's impossible to see what's under the vegetation.
The cross pillar is 1.11 metres tall, 24 centimetres wide and only 8 centimetres thick.
On its northwest (305°) face there's an incised cross which measures 27 centimetres in height and 17 centimetres in width. It's very worn, though, and faintly visible.
The pillar leans to the southwest by 6°.
