The Armoy round tower is half of a tower and is in the graveyard of St. Patrick's parish church right outside Armoy, on the B15. It was part of a monastery founded by Saint Olcan, a disciple of Saint Patrick, about AD460, though the tower was built between 11th and 12th century. In the 18th century, it served as a bell tower until 1869, when a new bell tower was built. The two buildings are just 10 metres apart.
The stump of the round tower is 10.80 metres tall. At 1.50 metres from the ground, on the south side, there's a doorway, and much closer to the ground there's a stone step protruding from the circumference.
