Seen from the southeast.

Not far from Field Castle, further west from it, there is a small complex of megalithic tombs. They appear to be the remains of a circular arrangement of large stones, and a structure of which only some boulders survive, and that must be the kerb of a chambered cairn.
The site hasn't been excavated, so there are no further details on what they were or what they would have looked like.

On our visit we only saw the boulders, the remains of the circular arrangement were in the adjacent field which was populated with cows.

The presence of these structures proves that the area was of importance in the neolithic times as well.
