The red and yellow stick is 1 metre long, for scale.

Between the local road at Cavangarden and the Ardpattan Lough there's this nice standing stone not marked on the OS Map.
It's a whitish wedge of stone with its main axis aligned northeast to southwest (45°-225°), about 70 metres northeast (50°) from the field gate.

The southeast face of this stone is rather smooth, while the opposite face is completely pitted with tiny cavities. It might look like the Moon surface. The minor sides are marked by an almost continuous reddish vein that makes a nice pattern on the whitish color of this stone.

The stone is 1.58 metres tall, 1.82 metres wide at the base and tapering to a narrow point at the top, and about 80 centimetres thick.

Another standing stone is about 200 metres west, in the adjacent field.
