In one place there are a holy well and a very tall ogham stone.
The site is on the side of a local road with a handy parking space. The area is neat and well looked after.
The ogham stone is 2.80 metres tall, 85 centimetres wide and about 22 centimetres thick.
The northeast side of this tall stone has an ogham inscription which reads "MADORA MAQI DEAG", the southeast face has a cross carved with a pebble, this proves that the stone is part of the rounds during St. Olan's feast day on September 5th, when a mass is held here. The stations of the cross make a half of a circle around the place.
It is said that this ogham stone isn't in its original position, it was found in the foundations of an old mill in the townland of Mountrivers in 1851.
A holy well holy well is at 4.20 metres north of the ogham stone.
