The tall west doorway.

We saw this old church so many times, but we never stopped to have a look at it, though it's easy to see and access, being it on the N84 to Castlebar. This time was the right time.
It was built in 1819 as witnessed by a plaque at the apex of the west gable, above the tall pointed arch doorway.
The building has a cruciform shape, with a long nave, two transepts and a tall square tower at the east (90°) end with Latin crosses on each side of the roofline.
Pointed arch windows can be seen in every wall.
There are two memorials at corners between the nave and the two transepts.
The internal wall of the tower are still plastered, but all the floors and the roof are gone.

We were caught by a sudden shower while visiting the church, we had to find shelter under the tower.
