The castle as seen from the road.

Bulloch Castle is one of the seven castles that once stood in Dalkey. As far as I know, only three of them remain. One of them is the Goat Castle, today known as Dalkey castle, Heritage Centre and Town Hall.
The other castle is the Archibold's Castle.

Bulloch Castle is now a private property, enclosed in the courtyard and car park of a nursing home in the north side of the town.
The castle might have been built around 1150, when a small village grew on this part of the country around a church owned by the Cistercian order.
The building is very well kept, the exterior part is clean and neat. It's a rectangular massive building with an archway aligned southeast-northwest (120°-300°) under the tower at the southwest end of the castle. The top of the building has two levels and stepped battlements.
Almost halfway up along the south-southeast corner there's a carved head. Some windows at the upper floor have stained glasses.
The interiors of the building are not accessible.
