The rear side seen from the east.

At last, I could say! We were here on May 9th, 2000, and never came back again, though I'd have liked.
This tomb and the portal tomb with the same name are at the northeast edge of the golf course at the Ballymascanlon Hotel. From the hotel there are two signposts to the tombs, then we had to walk 10 minutes before seeing something. The path is through the golf course, so particular care must be taken because some golf balls may travel fast above your head.
The tomb is in very good conditions, with a closed chamber at the east-northeast (75°) end of the gallery roofed by a single stone. The whole monument is about 7 metres long, about 4 metres wide at the front and 1.5 metres high at the rear.
Each side of the gallery is made of 8 stones neatly aligned. Outside this walls there are 6 stones on the south side and 5 stones on the north side lying on the ground or leaning. I think that these stones could have formed a double walling like in the Island wedge tomb in county Cork.
The Proleek portal tomb is 60 metres northwest from here.
