At a first inspection this can look like a pile of old stones, but the overgrown thing is the north wall of the old and ruined Templeboy church, the grave slab rests on a larger block of stone against that wall, seen from the north.

Reaching this place has been one of the most enervating trips we've ever done. The narrow country lane was 1.8 km long, but the last 600 metres were unpaved, and with the rain that was coming down it was a muddy nightmare. Fortunately the lane ended in a wide clearing where tractors and trucks can turn around.
This slab is adjacent to the north wall of the completely ruined Templeboy church, in a crop field.
It's coffin shaped and has the carving of a cross in bas-relief, though the details are very worn. The slab is 1.80 metres long, 48 centimetres wide at the west end and 27 centimetres wide at the east end, and it's 19 centimetres thick. It's aligned along the east-west (90°-270°) axis.
The slab dates from the 8th century.
