These two stones are on the west side of the arrangement. Another stone is under the big tree. The red and yellow stick is 1 metre long, for scale.

In the area of Timoney Hills there's a huge amount of standing stones spread over a wide range and scattered in different fields. All of these fields were occupied by cows and bullocks when we came here for the first time on September 27th, 2003. This time wasn't much different and we had some troubles with some of those animals. One bullock in particular was very upset and chased us out several times.
The standing stones are grouped in clusters. The more easily accessible cluster is the one featured here and looks more like an incomplete stone circle. I stood on what looked like the centre of this circle. I saw a stone under a tall tree at 140°, another stone under a big tree at 240° and a pair of tall stones at 290°.
We also saw other four stones from a distance in a field some 200 metres southeast from the group featured in this page, but we couldn't access the field because three farmers were working there with their cattle.
