The standing stone outside the entrance of the tomb.

This is a nice wedge tomb, even though not in good condition. It is 100 metres from the road. It's 3.50 metres long, 1.70 metres wide and 1.30 metres tall. The entrance faces south-southwest (210°). It's the typical box-shaped wedge tomb of the county Clare.

UPDATE: June 17th, 2017 - Another tomb that we already saw in 2003. This time we had a much better weather.
This wedge tomb is much more interesting and large than Parknabinnia, but it's less known and visited, probably because it's a bit farther from the road and it's not signposted, at least it hasn't been for some time now.
It has a very long stone slab on each side and a large and relatively thin roofstone to cover the burial chamber. Unlike Parknabinnia, this tomb has no doorstone. The entrance faces southwest (210°).
The tomb has a length of about 4.25 metres, it is 2.25 metres wide and about 1.30 metres high at the entrance.
There are tall stones outside the outline of the tomb. One is behind the tomb, on the northeast side, and measures 2 metres of width and 1.35 metres of height. Another one, the largest one, is to the south-southwest, and is 1.75 metres tall and 1.26 metres wide. Another one is to the west-northwest, and is 1.57 metres tall and 1.23 metres wide. More stone slabs are scattered all around, lying flat on the ground.
