The north cross and the 1 metre red and yellow stick for scale.

We first visited this place on June 4th, 2001.
The two high crosses of Ahenny are in the small graveyard of the village with the same name. The graveyard slopes down from the road and the two crosses are 75 metres east from this road.
They are massive and beautifully decorated.
The south cross is 2.85 metres tall, 35 centimetres thick and 45 centimetres wide at its base. The arms are 1.30 metres wide. It stands on a pedestal 55 centimetres tall.
The north cross is 15 metres from the south cross. Its pedestal is 55 centimetres tall too. The cross alone is 3.10 metres tall, 25 centimetres thick and 35 centimetres wide at the base.
