The access to the well is well hidden and it might look like an ordinary footpath to a private house.

This holy well is also known with the name of Mearing Well, as the plaque at the entrance states.
Though it is along the road, it wasn't easy to find it, as it is concealed at the end of a 17 metres long cobble paved and stone lined path within a private garden in front of a house.

Along the path a number of bullaun stones can be found, one of them is very close to the well itself.
The well has an opening to the northwest (315°).
