Looking at the ruinous castle from the west.

What remain of this castle is just a broken circular tower with a short segment of a bawn wall.

It stands on a small island in the River Suir and was built around 1300 to guard the traffic of the river.
The remains look on a precarious balance and it looks like a strong wind could blow it down any moment.
