The protected area of the well on the north side of the road.

This holy well has a nice clear and gravelled area all of its own.
A long wall protects the site from the vehicles on the road, with two gaps, one to the south, the other one to the east.
A beehive hut like house covers the well that is below the ground level. An opening in the house faces to the southeast (145°), two steps lead to the well itself, but the water isn't really inviting!
On the top of the well house there's a white statue of St. Lawrence holding a gridiron, the tool of his martyrdom, in his left hand, and a bunch of calla lilies in his right hand. The same flowers grow next to a modern leacht west of the well.
Before him there's a concrete cross with his name and the date 1842 impressed on it.
A marble plaque above the entrance of the well house says that the site has been restored and unveiled on August 10th 1969.
The overflow of the well runs to the east under the wall along the road and creates a small stream on the road that announces the presence of this well from a certain distance.
