The well, shrine and rag tree.

When last time we here we visited the Killevy church, we couldn't visit this holy well because the weather was terrible.
This time the weather was much friendlier and allowed us to reach this holy well perched up the east slopes of Slieve Gullion behind the church.
Reaching the well is quite a hike, the ground is often steep, but once up there the views are rewarding! The parking spot is at the churches below, the rise is about 50 metres from them.
The well and its house and shrine are enclosed in a timber fence. It's painted in bright white, it's impossible to miss it.
Three white timber benches are provided for those who come up here. A white concrete cross stand a few metres south of the well. The well looks down to the valley below to the east (85°).
A rag tree grows north of the well.
