The cross stone from above.

At the Y-junction between the R756 and R757 near the Glendalough monastic settlement, hidden behind a large road sign, is this nice cross slab.
The stone measures 79 centimetres of height, 62 centimetres of width and 24 centimetres of thickness.
A Latin cross is carved in bas-relief on the southeast (115°) face. It is 70 centimetres high, 46 centimetres wide and has a depth of 3.5 centimetres. A much smaller cross has been incised below the left arm of the main decoration.
At this site, hidden under the vegetation, I found a plastic box for the Geocaching game. Geocaching is a kind of a hide-and-seek game where players hide a waterproof case with small items in it. Other users have to find it and log the finding in the tiny logbook included in the case. Other geocache boxes we had found was on the top of the Knocknarea, under the stones of one of the satellite tombs around Queen Medb's Cairn and in the graveyard at Aghalurcher church.
