The cross seen from the west. This point of view shows how thin the slab is.

This simple, undecorated and thin stone cross is east from the Glendalough Upper Lake. It stands on a low mound made of rocks, earth and grass.
It measures 68 centimetres of height, 35 centimetres of width at the base and 53 centimetres at its arms, but it's only 4 centimetres thick!
It's aligned north-south and it leans to the south by 7°.
This cross and the others close by were probably used as stations on the pilgrims' route.
Another plain cross is about 25 metres north from this one.
